Didn't Michael Clarke win it last year??? I would go for Cameron White, he leads Victoria very well, he can use the bat well, as well as be a good leg spinner

Cool Hussy

I think it should be Micheal Hussy. He is way undereated. He deserves much more respect from australia.

Michael Clarke actually won the award for "the most outstanding Australian cricketer of the past season as voted by his peers, the media and umpires" - the Allan Border Medal, the ultimate accolade for Australian Cricketers (at least at a national level). The "up and coming" award, the Bradman Young Player of the Year was won by Mark Cosgrove - not long before he was dropped from the State team as his form slumped. Past winners of the Bradman award were:
2000: Brett Lee
2001: Nathan Bracken
2002: Shane Watson
2003: Nathan Hauritz
2004: Shaun Tait

It would appear to be an omen of bad luck, rather than indicative of a rise to the top. Lee stuttered for a few years before being dropped after winning it; Bracken hasn't set the world on fire; Watson and Tait are nursing long-term injuries and Hauritz looks like being a one-test wonder.

Mike Hussey IMO. He has shown what an incredibly quality batsmen he is with three centuries in five games. Although I think that Clarke could certainly become a force to be reckoned with if/when he returns. Since he was dropped he has shown good form with the bat in F/C games and has great talent.
