Don't have the time to type a side but if it's worth noting this side is very heavily stacked from 70's onwards players. Taylor is the one I say nay to. Maybe Hassett or Morris.

Whilst I have been watching - approx 1993/1995 (when I was 9/11) to now.

Mark Taylor
Mark Waugh
David Boon
Ricky Ponting
Steve Waugh (Capt)
Michael Slater
Michael Bevan
Adam Gilchrist (Wk)
Shane Warne
Jason Gillespie
Glenn McGrath

Twelfth Man - Justin Langer.
Reserve Bat - Greg Blewett.
Reserve Bowl - Andy Bichel.

A bit batting-heavy, if I wanted another bowler I'd subsitute Bichel for Bevan, but I'll leave it there for now.

From the players I have actually seen play they would be as follows;

M Hayden
M Taylor
R Ponting
D Boon
S Waugh
M Waugh
A Gilchrest
S Warne
D Lillee
J Thompson
G McGrath

I would not mind watching that team play to tell you the truth, nice spread of attacking batsmen with a sprinkle of hard to remove run gatherers. Not to mention a bowling attack would do well any where in the world.

Steve Waugh has to be captain. He is the most successful Australian captain ever and he is also a amazing player. Also if each player on the team is playing when they were in peak form then Steve Waugh would be classed as a all-rounder, he was pritty handy with the ball.

I dont know how anyone could include Mark Taylor in the greatest 11. I mean he was a good player but he wasnt anything special. He was also a subpar captain at best.

Turner and Noble? I would have thought you might go for Lindwall...
