Phil Jaques, is he ready for test cricket?

Phil Jaques is a very good opening batsman, who is very agressive when he wants to be. Is he ready for test cricket? I would like some predictions how he will go in the boxing day test.
1st innings 35
2nd innings 50

Australian selectors rarely pick a dud. He will do okay. I predict a half-century in one of his innings.

He's very lucky, he didn't have to wait until he had scored a "Bazillion" runs like Hussey and Hodge.

He'll score a ton in his second innings.

He's a quality player who i believe will be a massive hit in test cricket.

It's a good time to have the name Jacques, Rudolph made a ton the other day, Kallis will be coming back to the SA team and Phil will make his test debut for Australia. I suppose he's a good player, so he might as well take this opportunity and make it count. I'm wary of making predictions for some odd reason.

It will be interesting to see though what the selectors do in case he gets a big hundred or two and Hayden gets a golden king pair (or something to that affect). I can't see Hussey or Hodge being dropped after they starts they have got to their careers, and I certainly see Langer coming back into the side for the final test at Sydney, and it will also be very unfair to drop some one after they've made a hundred in their first game, so perhaps Hayden's place might be in danger.

I think Jacques will go well if picked and will make a good score because he is a high quality batsman who should do well at test level.

Cool Langer Hayden

I got to go with the experince. For me its Justin Langer and Mathew Hayden they will make a partnership of 100 and then Australia have a very great start.

I wonder if either Hussey or Hodge came from NSW , would they have had to wait so long
