| I still think he is by far the best domestic ODI batsman in Australia, and was even when Hussey wasn't in the Australian team. Hodge will be frustrating for Australia, but he'll also be brilliant. Pick him I say! |

| I agree, he is in blistering form at the moment and must be picked IMO. Who would you take out of the side if he did get picked?

| I'd tend to agree with you there, although Katich is a far more impressive ODI batsman than a test one, it certainly seems Hodge may have more to offer. Hodge has been called up to replace Ricky Ponting as he takes a break from the VB series, according to what I have heard. |

| He has, Hodge will play in place of Ponting and he should score some runs, will he be a one-match wonder or get in the side permanently?

| I have no doubt that he will be dropped as soon as Punter returns from his rest, too many changes have been made to the side recently. |

| I hope he doesn't get dropped for Ponting's return. I say drop Katich and Keep Hodge in the side. |

| They should, but not yet. There has been far too much upheaval in the Aussie batting lineup this tournament, and that's one reason why Sri Lanka beat them so comfortably - the top order was messed up and really unfamiliar, but that's not to take the credit for a great performance away from Sri Lanka, they played brilliantly. |
