Code:
 Bowling	O	M	R	W	Econ
GD McGrath	11	1	41	1	3.72	(1nb)
B Lee 10	1	54	1	5.40	(5nb)
SR Clark	11	0	34	2	3.09	(1nb, 1w)
NW Bracken	10	1	39	0	3.90
McGrath's figures are shockingly poor and for the first time I'm actually starting to worry about him... but Lee confirms everything I've been saying about him for years he should not be let anywhere near a Test cricket SQUAD let alone a 1st XI.

Warne is obviously an automatic selection.. but it seems to me that the next best bowler in Australia is MacGill. Beyond that pair... Clark should be the first seamer on the team-sheet... but right now he's the ONLY seamer clearly deserving to be on the team-sheet!

I fear England's batting will again get an easy ride this Ashes.

I can't say I've ever "worried" about McGraths bowling except when its been doing well against England. I have to say that I would be delighted to see him bowl like a drain all series - it might teach him a bit of humility.

1/41 off 11 is not that bad, if you think thats bad I would be worried about the English bowlers figures against a state batting line up.

Flintoff 0/52 off 15
Panesar 1/58 off 19
Hoggard 1/58 off 17

For McGrath... going at 3.72 / over is horrendous.

A spinner on a day 1 pitch generally gets nothing,at least he wasn't thrashed around the park.

What about England’s best two bowlers Flintoff and Hoggard. Nothing spectacular.

Giles seemed to bowl well, pressing well for selection

Four bowlers only? With Gilchrist you have six batsmen anyway, Warne and Lee can hold a bat whats the need for Clarke? Watson as allrounder.

Watson should be there instead of clarke and Jaques in place of martyn. True Martyn has had good form in the ODIS but Jaques seems to have good form in both ODIs and tests against the prevailing england team!!! That and im really worried bout Mcgrath
