Johnson will play because it is at his home ground and his good form with the ball, the only thing that will knock him out will be if Tate destroys the English side again today for South Australia, like he did in the PM's XI match. Try stopping a 152 Km/h inswinger when you first come out to bat.

Many may think Johnson is not yet ready for bowling in a test match - but if you are going to blood someone there home track has got to be a good way to do it - The only better way would be if the test was a dead rubber - which is what I think the selectors might do if they have a chance and bring Tait in for the experience.

The thought of finally having a left arm pace in the Aussie attack I think will be too much for the selectors to pass up.
Quite a fearsome and pacey future attack... im reminded of
Waqar -Clarke

Wasim- Johnson

Akhter -Tait

Man... now thats a thought

If they develop into half of what the above 3 managed on their day... togather they will result in total destruction of the opposing teams batting lineup. Australia certainly has some riches in the bowling dept

Looks like Watsons out.Talk of Symonds replacing him.He has proven he is not up to it.Bring in Micheal Clarke & play the three quicks.Interesting to see what the make-up of the team will be for Adeliade. They should play two spinners but if Watson isn't playing will they do it?If Micheal Clarke makes runs in Brisbane (if he plays)would they drop Martin(if he is does not do well)?.

Has anyone noticed that so far this season Warney hasn't been scaring too many batsmen.

On another note, surely Clark will play. He's already gone through South Australia this year and Australia do usually keep their selections quite consistent. He is the player with the position and was excellent in South Africa.

Warne has a very ordinary average in Australian domestic cricket.

So what does that mean he conserves his energies for the big stage???

or that the local batsmen read him better?

To be fair Kenny, there's very little difference between it and his test average. This year though, he's already gone for 100 on at least two occasions. Of course, he loves Brisbane, the pitch in the second innings will probably get his juices flowing.

Local Batsmen read him better. There are alot of wrist spinners here so they are used to them.
