Thumbs up Goodbye Gilly

Well played Adam

A true and great champion on and off the feild.

I am proud Aussie but it is all the more richer for having been able to cheer for a player like you.

Never liked Gilchrist much and am glad to see the back of him.

I am sure he will be forgotten soon enough. Good riddance Gilly

What can you say about Adam Gilchrist three winning World Cup Finals 50 in 1999, 50 in 2003 and 149 in 2006, an all time great, the match winning stand with Justin Langer in only his 2nd Test against Pakistan will never be forgotten, nor will his first 100 when the Aussies had there backs to the wall in the 2nd One Day Final against South Africa, and his last 100 at the WACA in Perth this year.

I've chosen Adam Gilchrist in both of my best ever Test and One Day 11's that I have posted on this forum, we have lost the best wicketkeeper batsman in the games history, however in Brad Haddin we may well have the 2nd best ready to replace him.

Brad Haddin has waited a long time, he should score a few 100's at both Test and One Day level for Australia, as a batsman only Gilchrist is superior to Haddin in all of the wicketkeepers I have seen, the Aussies are not finished yet by a long shot.
