Well, I'll tell you what, Dirk Nannes is really looking like a proper bat at the moment. Maybe a promotion is on the cards- say, to three?

Damn!

How good is Peter Siddle just quietly? Looks a great go. Also I think the system is rubbish that players who are on Australian duty all damn season can come back for the final. Maybe thats just bitter, or maybe thats just my instincts. In Aussie Rules football there are rules preventing this. I.E, to be eligible to play for the 2nd team in a final/finals series, you have to have played a certain amount of games, otherwise the best players would go down if the 1st team were out.

Anyway NSW again winners. Victoria have a good future though, and I can't wait til Cameron White finally learns how to bowl.

Well Paoili, if Victoria could produce a few test quality players, there would be no problem NSW missing all those guys, yet still make it to the final - says something about their depth.

Still, i do see your point.

I bet more people showed up to the game than otherwise would have though

N.S.W won it fair and square.

Well done all of them and a special pat on the back to young Phillip Hughes

But I was kicking back in a "jaccuzi" on Sunday afternoon after tea (day 2) just taking the edge off a bit of hot weather (40 degrees C) with the Vic's cruising at about 4-180 (odd) with Hodge still at the crease. And I thought they still had a show.

Well, what happened from then on was like the movie "Gladiator"

I dont know who said "unleash hell" but Stuart MacGill was on at one end, and Brett Lee was on at the other. And neither of them was going to let even one prisoner escape. They nailed them, Siddle included who Brett decided needed some head high attention (welcome to the world son)

That was in my view the decisive battle of the match.

Siddle (8 wkts), Hughes (6 & 114) and Casson (4wkts) were definitely the stand outs as young Australian talent

Brett Lee and Stuart MacGill were the killers with the knock out blows who were the major difference between the teams.
