Exclamation Michael Clarke pulls out of Windies tour

Apparently due to the illness of his fiancee's (Lara Bingle the "well where the bloody hell are you girl") father.

Quote:
EXCLUSIVE: AUSTRALIAN cricket vice-captain Michael Clarke is believed to have pulled out of the start of this month's West Indies tour for personal reasons.
Sources in the Australian team's Brisbane training camp said the star batsman had already left the camp to return to Sydney.
Victorian Brad Hodge is believed to have been added to the touring squad.
The 15-man squad is scheduled to fly out of Australia tomorrow for the three-Test tour, starting with a tour match on May 16.

Even if he was married to her, i don't reckon he has any real justification.

What is "engaged" anyway? It is basically nothing more that a glorified version of "going steady"

Either way, Australia will do the job without him. Hope Hodge whacks up a heap of runs to put pressure on Clarke when he finally decides to return

Apparently his father is pretty sick as well.

And it only seems like it is part of the tour. I would be feeling a bit peeved if I was Brad Hodges IPL T20 side in India (his tour replacement)

As to having a fiancee previously connected to "Fev" (Brendan Fevola, Carlton football club & AFL bad boy)...interesting.

Having now found out how serious things were, I think Clarke made the right call here.

If confronted with the choice of missing a few games in a series to spend some time with your partner and a close relative of their's in their last day's; I think missing the games is understandable.

MICHAEL Clarke last night confirmed he would be available for the second Test in the West Indies after helping his fiancee Lara Bingle grieve for the loss of her father.
Clarke yesterday attended the Sydney funeral of Graham Bingle, who died last weekend from pancreatic cancer.
