| The Kerry Packer legacy lives on On the one year anniversary of the death of Kerry Packer, a $10,000,000 grant has been announced by James Packer to establish the Kerry Packer Foundation, which will support former players and administrators of the game that have fallen on hard times. |

| Good on James Packer I have heard on the rumour mill that some recent national players who are not on the top tier of salary or endorsment deals have got themselves in some humungous financial problems via drinking, gambling and trying to keep up with some of their more well paid team-mates whilst on tour. |

| Same here, you would think all that represent Australia would be well off with endorsments etc. Certainly applies for the elite players, but for some on the fringes of the squad not so. |

| I think that's a great idea, I wish there was a rich benefactor for the english county games also (The Queen?, Richard Branson?, Geoffrey Boycott's mother? Mick Jagger? Vodafine?)

| Doubt it, English cricket is not as big a sport in our country as Australian cricket. I'd like to see Geoffrey Boycott's mother though, Branson's probably queueing up for his Australian citizenship right now...he's just behind Mark Nicholas in the queue
