Aaah, Andy. Now you're getting to a subject that I consider my area of specialty. You've never traveled to the sub-continent have you, by any chance? I can assure you that the numbers of advertisements cricketers from Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka appear in will be unmatched by their Australian counterparts (or indeed cricketers from any other part of the world). From the top of my head, I can recall seeing Pakistani and Indian cricketers in Television adverts for products as wide ranging as soft drinks, energy drinks, cell phones, motor bikes, soaps, shampoos, insurance deals, sports gear, watches, car tyres, credit cards, toothpaste, bulbs, ice cream, chewing gums, real estate...you name it, they've endorsed it.

Well, yes, that was the advert I was referring to too when I mentioned real estate, but I'm not sure I thought it was cute. Apparently a good number of the blokes of the team are signed up with that property dealer, last time I went out for a long drive, I saw a larger then life size poster of Afridi promoting that same property on a billboard on top of a real estate agency, just close to the National Stadium.

Symonds is a useful bowle, a fantastic fielder and one hell of a batsman!! Im surprised people on our board doubt his credibility just because of his mixed origins. He would walk into the top 5 in any other team in existance today. Excellent All rounder.

They were not questioning his credibility as a player. The thread starter questioned why a guy who has been an Aussie for 29 of his 31 years is playing for Australia. Kinda silly i know.

well I'm sorry I didn't know much about Symonds that was the whole point of me posting this thread! I didn't know he'd spent 29 of his 31 years in Australia, that's what I wanted to know! For ****'s sake I'm sorry for asking questions.

Sorry SS. There was nothing wrong with your thread starter, i was meaning to say that those that think he should be playing for England rather than Australia were a bit silly. I did not mean to annoy you - i will try to wordmy posts a little clearer next time.

That's ok I've calmed down now. I'm a bit on edge lately. I thought it was aimed at me. I'm not saying Symonds SHOULD of played for England, it's ultimately his decision and I think he qualified for Australia, England and the West Indies, but he chose Australia, that's up to him.
