Phil Jaques vs Chris Rogers

It seems entirely possible that both Chris Rogers and Phil Jaques will BOTH figure very successfully in Australia's Test side for many years to come... and eminently feasible that neither will quite manage the step up.. but who is the more likely to thrive - or if you expect one to thrive as opener and one to thrive in the middle order... which stands most chance in what position?

My impression (and it is no more than that) is that Chris Rogers has the class... but that Jaques has a bullying capacity to eclipse him against lesser opposition. If I were in Nielsen's place I'd be inclined to line up Rogers to open with Hussey ahead of Ponting and Clarke, with Voges and Jaques at 5 and 6... but knowing little of Nielsen I've no idea whether such an obvious route could be expected from him.

I don't think that Hussey opening is the right idea I like him in the middle order because he brings class and he is also a left hander which mixes it up with right handed batsman to bat with him like, Ponting, Clarke & Symonds.

I don't think that Jaques is be the best middle order batsman or plainly hes not the best batsman in the country looking for a place in the side, I would have other top class batsman that have had a great year so far with the bat in Pura Cup. Just to name a few batsman that are in good form this year and I would put in the side ahead of Jaques as a middle order batsman
