I don't think that Hussey opening is the right idea I like him in the middle order because he brings class and he is also a left hander which mixes it up with right handed batsman to bat with him like, Ponting, Clarke & Symonds.
I don't think that Jaques is be the best middle order batsman or plainly hes not the best batsman in the country looking for a place in the side, I would have other top class batsman that have had a great year so far with the bat in Pura Cup. Just to name a few batsman that are in good form this year and I would put in the side ahead of Jaques as a middle order batsman - Brad Hodge - (32 yrs, RH, VIC) (2006/07 Pura Cup - 765 runs at 85.00, Hs 153, 2x100, 5x50) FC Career - 14,735 runs at 48.79, Hs 302*, 45x100, 55x50
- David Hussey - (29 yrs, RH, VIC) (2006/07 Pura Cup - 650 runs at 57.57, Hs 131, 3x100, 2x50) FC Career - 6,291 runs at 51.56, Hs 232*, 24x100, 23x100
- Adam Voges - (27 yrs, RH, WA) (2006/07 Pura Cup - 431 runs at 71.83, Hs 152*, 2x100, 0x50) FC Career - 1,525 runs at 42.36, Hs 178, 5x100, 4x50
- Marcus North - (27 yrs, LH, WA) (2006/07 Pura Cup - 553 runs at 55.30, Hs 239*, 2x100, 1x50) FC Career - 6,354 runs at 44.12, Hs 239*, 16x100, 34x50
- Martin Love - (32 yrs, RH, QLD) (2006/07 Pura Cup - 404 runs at 44.88, Hs 186, 2x100, 1x50) FC Career - 16,015 runs at 50.20, Hs 300*, 42x100, 73x50
