You know, you're right. Ronchi's domestic 1 day average this season is an amazing 37.66 (SR: 113.75), compared with Haddin's lowly average of 67.66 (SR:104). Haddin's time has definately gone

Haddin plays half his games on pretty flat N.S.W pitches and seems to fail easilly when not playing on them.... And is a lot older than Ronchi and Crosthwaite.

Haddin, 56 not out at Adelaide, 42 in Tasmania, and 43 in Perth, not to mention others. And if the SCG tracks are flat, why was the fastest hundred hit in Perth? The utterly dead tracks in Perth, which offer prime batting conditions and is the State where Ronchi comes from. Crosthwaite will eventually challenge Haddin, but I doubt Ronchi is anywhere close at the moment. Haddin outstrips Ronchi in the 4 day game as well.

Typical Victorian logic. Slinging mud at the second best keeper/batsman in the country becasue he's from NSW.

I actually wasn't refering to you, I was talking about the other Victorian, and Ronchi's glovework is unproven, and is not consistent enough with the bat. Although, correct me if I'm wrong, but Ronchi seems to be a much better 4 day player than 1 day player. Maybe he's just trying too hard to be explosive in the one-day game?

If Gilly keeps batting like last night, in Ronchi and Haddin we may actually be talking about 1 and 2

| The current Aus selectors have been leaning towards seasoned players such as Kattitch, Hodge, Hussey, Clarke (bowler) over young players. And i can see why. The seasoned players (25-30) have the ability and experience to slot straight into the role, while young players are generally dropped after a few tests and sent back to domestic cricket to get more experience. If Australia had to win a test to save your life, who would you prefer - a classy matchwinner at the peak of his game like Haddin, or some fresh faced kid straight from domestic cricket like Ronchi? If Australia was struggling and going through a rebuilding period, then you would go with the young guy like they did with Healy. But if you are the best team in the world and wish to remain there, then you go with the seasoned performers as Australia did with Gilchrist and will likely do with Haddin. Haddin will be next Aussie keeper IMO.
