What on earth has Bracken ever demolished outside the domestic comp !

He's been a permanent fringe dweller for a very good reason; He does not have the pace to worry most good international batsmen no matter how far he swings or cuts it.

Nathan Bracken bowls to slow.......

Must have meant we had other crap bowlers. Bracken did his part.

3 fers and 4fers against many great batting attacks, you must be one of the more amusing WUMS on the board, trying to sling mud at Bracken with crap reasons like this.

Bowling O M R W B Lee 10 0 53 0 N W Bracken 10 1 75 0 G D McGrath 10 0 72 1 M G Johnson 6 0 48 1 M J Clarke 9 0 48 2 A Symonds 5 0 32 0

Him and McGrath were suitably impressive against the Kiwi's in Perth on the 28th January this year.

Combined shafting of 1 for 147 off 20 overs.

At least McGrath got a wicket.

I don't know much about Aussie players but I wouldn't mind seeing this team
Ronchi, Voges, Ponting, Clarke, Symonds, Hussey, White, Lee, Bracken, Johnson and Hilfenhaus.

What ever he's done previous to this season, fact is that he has been part of a state bowling attack New South Wales that this season that is trailing well behind Victoria in 20/20 , 50 overs and 4 day games. And for most matches he has been available and played.

Others have gone past him.

Let me give you two players:

Ave 22.63 / 21.32

SR 28.93 / 28.92

Econ 4.69 / 4.42

One's Brett Lee and the other is Nathan Bracken...

Stats obviously don't tell the whole story (especially in ODI cricket) but when two guys are as closely matched as this... I find slagging one off and hailing the other pretty odd!

Bracken is good.
If Ponting gave him the ball for the third last over instead of Watson we might have won.
It was stupid to change the winning formula(4 quicks & 10 overs of part time spin) so Watson could play.
Hogg for White I can see but Watson for Johnson/Tait or S.Clark is stupid.

If Bracken wants a good omen for the forthcoming Ashes opener at Brisbane, he needs only to rewind by 12 months, to the opening Test of the West Indies series at the Gabba last year. Bracken's second-innings figures of 4 for 48 secured a thumping 379-run win. He's played just one Test since, but in the year 2006, he has been the world's leading one-day wicket-taker, with 46 wickets in 23 matches.
