| I love watching that that run out ball over and over again. I remember listening to both games in the wee small hours of the morning on radio (no live telecasts in west Queensland then) and was in hysterics that game 2 (the semi) could top game 1 (the points game) in high drama. Herchelle Gibbs hang your head in shame as Steve Waugh looked you in the eye and told you. "Well done son, you just dropped the World Cup" ![]() |

| In regards to South Africa, the loss of a spinner is their most obvious and weak point, I personally don't rate Peterson as a spinner, but the options are limited. I don't think South Africa will make it to the final, I reckon Australia vs Sri Lanka in the final and I hope Sri Lanka win, but I think Australia will win after a close contest.

| Dont know if there will be any close contests, I think the 213 run flogging of the Kiwi's signifies thier intentions for the next 2 games. Add Gilly's early failure again and we all know he still has a bullet in the breach. |

| i know there are going to be so many retirements of the experienced players who have made australia reach where they are but at the same time i think australia domestic cricket is so tough that it will not be difficult to replace the players of such calibre ,i say this because of the persormances of the youngsters as cameroon white in the commonwelalth bank series and the fine performance of shain tait in the world cup ,i think the youngsters are up to the challenge of international cricket and ofcourse of the flavour of aussie cricket to be best team in the world but i must say it will take a time to earn experience but i think they will be very well prepared for the continuance of the diminance in world cricket.... ![]() |

| I think the whole system of cricket in Australia from "cradle" to "grave" is far superior than our competing countries. The team I think will cause us problems down the track when they organise thier grass roots system a bit better and rout out the corrupt officials styfling thier progress is India. England allthough willing to change its system appears to get bogged down by pockets of pompous officials lurking in various dark corners of thier system that prefer to derail change rather than welcome it to save thier recalcitrant positions and out dated veiws.
