| I'm not sure I like the idea of 20 overs of spin from Warne and the part-timers. Steve Waugh was a handy medium-pacer and should probably be in the starting XI. I'd replace Greg Chappell or Mike Hussey with Waugh.

| I have never rated Steve Waugh highly, espically in ODI's. I think a bowling line up that looked like this would be decent Lillee (10 overs) McGrath (10 overs) Lee (10 overs) Warne (10 overs) Symonds (5/10 overs) Mediums or Spin Chappell (5 overs)
