The way he is going, he may break before the World Cup is over!

As a kiwi I'm not concerned at all abuot hussey's form (long may it continue). However the green and golds have no cause for concern - most of the rest of the side are more than picking up the slack and have big scores under their belt in the competition.

Plus the side has scored 300+ in the last six games its played, it's still the bowling which is the weaker half of the side I feel.

There is a rumour that Hussey could be pushed up the batting order against Bangladesh - probably No:4 after Ponting - to help him to regain his form and confidence. That might just work by removing the 'need to hit out' pressure that he always seems to have been under while coming to bat in recent matches.

Where would clarke bat, then? He has been on hot form and i would not want to disturb that.

To be fair to Hussey he's not had to bat under any pressure so far in the WC. I have a feeling when he's needed he'll perform.

Hussey's Form

Hussey with the exception of Ponting has been the best batsmen in World Cricket for the past two years. He will come through his slight form slump probably when the teams needs him most. Imagine the odds you would of got six months ago for Hayden being the top scorer of the World Cup. Form is temporary, Class is forever.

Hussey, like Bevan, always showed their worth when the team required them. Bevan had a relatively innocuous world cup in 93 until he was needed to win games against England and New Zealand. I am sur Hussey will perform when and if Australia need a contribution or chase a total. Coming in at the end of an innings (batting first) is really an irrelvance.
