Has Matthew Hayden finally laid to rest the tag of 'flat track bully'? His performance yesterday to score his second One day century in a row and the highest Australian one day score and to score Australia's 6 300 plus innings score in a row. The pitch looked slow but good and there was plenty to help the bowlers and no other Australian really got going. Certainly none scored a half century. Matthew Hayden looked like a really top class player yesterday, different from when I saw him on the Ashes 2005 dvd. he seems to have really thought about his game and it shows.
He certainly looks like a batsmen in form. Ponting was a bit silly to get run out. That seems his weak spot.
We'll see later on today what the WI do, but it was a good yardstick by Australia.

If people look at his career pre 2005 ashes he was the best batsman in the world, he is just back in form. He was out of the game for 3 years before he fgot back into the side in 2000 and he has not looked back
