To have Alec Stewart on the list and Adam Gilchrist off it, it will be regarded as the greatest cricket joke of the 22nd century.

Funny one Warnie....

Am I seeing things, or does number 20 on that list say something along the lines of "Adam Gilchrist"?

Just checking...

Gilchrist being on the list is inevitable: even as a critic I'd have had him somewhere on that list. Stewart's place is also intelligible... just not for anything he was able to offer at any one time in his career: of his compatriots I'd have had Gough, Caddick, Fraser, Thorpe, Russell, Piper and Ramps in ahead as greater (more able) players... but Stewart's sheer length of service at International level (and especially his pyjama cricket) makes his elevation above them perfectly reasonable.

There are more curious inclusions on the list...

Bevan
Hussey
