| because of the compressed format it's actually more wide open than the ODI WC. An individual player in 20/20 can put on a performance capable of lifting his side to victory over a weaker opposition easier than in one dayers. Aus could be cruising to victory only to have three wickets taken in one over or a batsemn could smack a 45 ball 80 to steal a run chase. I don't think any side should be too confident as the game brings the teams closer together. having sadi that aus are the favourites tho (for good reason). |
