I've got to say that i am not happy at our top flighters being over there. We should have sent a second string team to play so our test guys can prepare.

We have a very difficult campaign this summer against a strong Sri Lanka and a resurgent India. No Warne,
Mc Grath, Langer ect - both teams will fancying their chances against the most beatable looking Aussie team in more than a decade.

What will the test guys gain from being there? Get into the habit of lifting their heads to go the slog? Bowlers getting into the habit of bowling a nice, tight, unlikely-to-take-any-wickets line? Bowlers being desensitized to being carted to all parts of the ground? Getting in the habit of losing. To Zimbabwe?

Crazy. They should all be in camp back here and preparing, rather than risking an injury to their confidence, pride and bodies tip-toeing through the tulips over there.

Talking about injury. I read somewhere that Watson now has a calf injury - Is this true? He reminds me of my old Datsun 200B i had when i was a kid. It constantly broke down, and eventually ended up on my parents property. I promptly forgot about it and it is still there 15 years later, covered in dust and weeds and stuff. Hope Watson doesn't suffer the same fate, i feel for the guy.

On your first point Seamer - Australia should have sent A 20/20 type side, not your Test team.

I agree with all your other points, and the same applies to England also IMO - keep Test players for Tests.

I did not read to much into the defeat of Australia by Zim, it happened not long ago against Bangladesh - but it made little difference in the long run.

Great finish to the group stages.

Finishing on top of the pool and progressing to the next stage.

What a pitty sixhitter.

Only chasing 155 and being bowled out for 135.

Not before suffering an embarrassing defeat to the underdogs, Zimbabwe..

I do expect Australia to win, because they win everything....

Not this time apparently. A good comeback by India sees Australia out of the cup.
