| I think you should always play a spinner no matter what. However, if they insist on going with a fourth paceman, then I don't think it should be Tait. Even with that 10-for, he's only played two matches, and I don't think that's long enough to judge form properly. Noffke's got much better figures, as Seamer's already pointed out, and I think there's also a rank outsider in Steve Magoffin (21 wickets in his 5th match at 19, plus a batting average of 23). | It looks like the fact that Melbourne is using a drop-in wicket will swing things the way of Hogg for the first test. Cricinfo - Hogg's chances for Melbourne continue to rise That's the problem of going in with two fast men like Tait and Lee. If the wicket dies, they become money for jam. I am not dismissing Tait as a test option though - i think he will make a perfect replacement for Lee when needed, and using him at the WACA might be feasable too. But i hope they go with Hogg. I have been talking him up for the last month at this site, and hope to see him prove the skeptics wrong.

| I had posted it one month back, have 3 bowlers in your side who are capable of bowling above 90 miles per hour along with a solid & staedy Stuart Clark, don't give Indians any breathing space! We'll see how they manage! It's better to go for a rejuvenated Tait than an injured MacGill. |

| Noffke must be coming close to staking some sort of claim for a baggy green this summer surely? He just grabbed another 7 wickets against NSW, six being top order batsman (Jacques twice), taking his season tally after 6 matches to 31 wickets @ 21 No other Queensland bowler has taken more than 6 wickets this season. And he racked up another half century after coming in after another top-order collapse.

| I think Doug Bollinger also stands a bit of a chance-he's showing some pretty good form this season. |

| Just have a look at Noffke's statistics for 2007/08 6 matches - 31 wickets at 20.22, bbi 6/33, Econ 2.79, 4x5wh 11 innings - 549 runs at 54.90, Hs 100*, 1x100, 5x50 Noffke has had a brilliant start to the season, there are some new up and commers this season and the one that has impressed me the most is Pomersbach. He is a 23 year old Western Australian who in the Pura Cup has scored 488 runs at 97.60, with a highest score of 176, two hundreds and two fifties in seven innings. What is very impressive about Pomers is that in the pura cup this season is his strike rate which is an amazing 82.85. He also played in the 20-20 match and showed that he was very capable at international level.
