Ah, well - another New Year's List published today and no sign of Richie this time. There is an Australian representation - Kylie Minogue picks up an OBE for services to music. Maybe the Birthday List for Benaud? Watch this space on 21 April.

I thought Baille de haye (maybe with a few Lumpus de sucre thrown in) would be more apporpriate for Camilla.

I am really confused now

And I got "Reindeer antlers" and "hormones"

Is Camilla a "shim" ???

Soory to have confused you Acker, but those words are our own version of Pidgin French. You won't find them on Google.

Based on Julie Burchill's comment that his attraction for horses made Charles fall for Camilla, Bailles de Haye and Lumpus de Sucre mean bales of hay and lumps of sugar.

Thats a lot better than what my first thought was

Back on subject I notice Richie currently has an "OBE" (Order of the British Empire)

But I agree he deserves further honors recognition

In particular for spending 30 years commentating with this clown

Richie's OBE was awarded back in about 1961 for his playing achievements. Seems to me that he has given a lot to the game with his commentary, books and newspaper articles over the last 47 years as well. It really would be great to see that recognised at some point soon.

The Great William Morris Lawry deserves a knighthood as well.

Sir William has a particular ring to it.

Whilst we're on the 12th Man Topic it'd be good to see Big Maxy Walker get a knighthood for his services to entertainment.
