India deserve Tait and bruises in Perth

I hope he gets the nod for the WACA test.

And I hope he bowls short to the Indians.

150 kph + and at the body.

A must inclusion in my eyes, at the expense of Hogg.

I agree they should play him but not jsut so he can injure people. Hoggs only being played so Aus have a specialist spinner but they don't need him with symonds and clark able to provide variation.

Hogg basically made himself redundant yesterday when on a 5th day deteriorating wicket he failed to get a wicket while Symonds and Clarke got 3 each.

He just doesn't offer any significant advantage above what either Symonds or Clarke offer.

As for Tait hitting batsmen fear tends to lead to batsmens downfall's...bring it on.

I agree that if Tait is to be given a run, then the WACA is the venue for him. The WACA is back no doubt - fast, bouncy, the cracking wicket - probably the most frightening wicket for a batsman to play on in the world.

And yes, i don't disagree that Hogg should make way for him for this test. But i would not like to see this as a permanent option. Hogg has bowled very well against the Indian's and will be an important player for Australia in the future.

Also, i don't necessarily want to see Indians. or anyone, get hurt. Harbhijan probably could have done with a broken jaw sure. But the rest of the Indians for the most part are fairly decent blokes IMO. Just because there is one bad apple, doesn't mean the whole crop is rotten.

It’s a shame the Singh isn’t playing because Lee and Tait together on that wicket will be devastating

You have Tait who can bowl around the 100 miles an hour mark, and then you have Lee who now bowls 150 k/ph - 158 k/ph and Johnson who can bowl at around the same pace as Lee but a left-armer. What batsman would want to come out and face that on the bounciest pitch in world cricket?

Majority of the Indian cricketers are gentlemen. Tendulkar, Dravid( the greatest of gentleman of world cricket probably), Kumble, Laxman & even Ganguly, apart from some of his antics, are people you want to be friends with. Only some of the new crops, like Singh, Yuvraj & Sreesanth(Dhoni being an exception) are trouble makers. Worthless as cricketers, trying to be pseudo-aggressive by copying some body language which screams more of desperation than aggression.

Tait, by the way, should play in Perth & Adelaide too. Symonds & Clarke can take care of the spinning duties.

Talking Expecting a better fight from indians

acker, i might be the odd man out here

But my gut feeling says that india might play better against tait (or) tait may not bowl as good as expected from him by the team and fans

i also think its high time to make some changes in the batting order

dravid should not open the inning and dinesh karthik should be playing in the eleven as a batsmen or keeper

this is just my prediction, hope it doesn't back fire me

With Hogg in doubt for the next match after racism charges made by the indians, i think we may get to see tait play in the next game if it happens as indians are threatening a pull out of the series if the racism charges are not cleared from harbhajan singh.
