| This season, Matt Elliott's enjoying an Indian Summer (no pun intended) but won't feature anywhere near the selectors minds. Should Hayden miss ABC speculated it'd be between Rogers and Katich. Alternatively I'd be tempted to move Michael Hussey to the openers spot (Why not, we've wrapped the series up) and give his brother Dave a run in the middle order. |

| Unfortunately for the rest of world cricket, Australia are stupidly strong in their batting reserves, and have been for 15+ years now. You almost feel whoever gets in will do well, and will been brilliantly successful. This has been proven in fact when the likes of Hayden, Lehmann, Hussey, Jacques and even Hodge have played after coming in when they are more "mature" after waiting for someone to retire. I have no doubt Rogers and David Hussey would do the same.

| I have no doubts who should be playing, im very bias being a Victorian but they should move Michael Hussey to open and david Hussey to come in at 6. Chris Rogers probably will play because it is in Perth. David Husseys First Class Stats - 174 innings, 8674 runs at 56.32, Hs 275, 32x100, 35x50 Chris Rogers First Class Stats - 186 innings, 8436 runs at 47.93, Hs 319, 22x100, 44x50 They are both the same age but I think they should concider Hussey well before Rogers. I wouldnt be suprised if they throw in Pomersbach because he is seen as a player of the future and it would be a good idea if they want to give him a taste of test cricket at his home ground. It could push him harder. He has played against touring sides and been extremely successful, 101 not out against England and 145 from 128 balls against South Africa.
