Bangladesh

Do you think that Bangladesh beating Australia is good for cricket in the fact that they will be more confident and may now be a much better side now.

Very much so, now that they have the confidence and self belief, these boys can actually start playing to their true potential. At their best, they should be able to overtake the struggling West Indies and compete against New Zealand and Sri Lanka, both who are not quite hitting the straps at the moment.

In saying all that though, its still early days despite their win over Australia, they could easily collapse once again..

I think the Bangladesh win against the aussies was great for them and the world of cricket, but i think they shouldn't get carried away. I think they shouldn't be too disheartend with their test recors as it took
New Zealand about 50 test series to actually win one so they are doing alright.

COME ON BANGLADESH!

I think it was pointed out on this board somewhere that New Zealand were drawing quite a few of their matches and weren't losing as heavily as Bangladesh constantly do. Plus, Bangladesh had only beaten the Zimbabwe B team.

No I don't think so. But it does show that if a side is not on there game that Bangladesh can beat you. But once they are going, they really don't stand a chance.

Yes, i think winning against Australia will help with their confidence, knowing that they can beat some of the top teams.

I think, rather than helping Bangladesh to improve, the victory over Australia was an indication that they have already improved. In the second test against England they were respectable, and beating Aus showed they were learning to adapt to English conditions. They've got some talented players like Mortaza, Bashar and Ashraful. And they have got a quality coach in Whatmore who knows a lot about international cricket, and who has been a coach in many parts of the world. So the structure is taking shape which should allow Bangladesh to improve. It will be slow progress, but they are going in the right direction.

Rajin Saleh seems a very good batsman, he is only 22 and has an excellent technique, he also has the right attitude, who knows he might become the next Rahul Dravid. He has already scored more runs in this series then Hayden.
