Well, the Scotland innings has come to an end. A solid performance by CECC despite losing the toss and having to field on a pitch described as "looking a cracker! Hard and fast - should be a run-fest out there!!"

Limiting Scotland to only 246 - 9 when then had been 89 - 0 and 231 - 5 after 47 overs represents a good piece of defensive bowling from CECC. If the pitch is as hard and fast as described, then if Binnion and Adu can see off the new ball, then a win should be on the cards. The required run rate is only 4.92 runs per over. Anyway, we shall see before long!

By the way, I'd like to garner opinion on whether we should sell a player. If so, I think it should be either Binnion or Fife, but I'm not sure myself, so your opinions are welcome!

I think we should sell Binnion while he's in form. We may slip out of 3rd place and lose some prizemoney but his salary is a major burden.

I'm disappointed our opening bowlers couldn't get a breakthrough in their first spell. Credit to Carter, though, for picking up wickets in the final overs.

Andy, why is this game played in real-time if it's a computer simulation? Real-time is okay if watching vision or listening to radio but not for reading text commentary. How do we get the commentary after the game?

In FAQ: Can I see the ball-by-ball commentary after the match has completed?
Yes. All members can see their match commentary from a link on the scorecard after the game has finished.

How long after the game is finished do we have access to the text commentary?

God, this is complicated! I was regular player for a while but I never went beyond hiring coaches, increasing the stadium capacity and accepting friendlies!

I'm already addicted to a few too many online games so I guess I'll leave this in my inbox for a while.

Oh dear - it all started off so well, but there's been a bit of a collapse! From 76 - 0 to 108 - 4. Well up with the run rate though, and it looks like both Adu and Midworth suffered from poor Lbw decisions from the umpire! Surprisingly realistic, eh?

What a superb fightback from CECC's unheralded middle-order. CECC finished on 249 - 5 after a great unbeaten 68 off 81 balls from Ryan Rafiq, supported by a bombastic 23 off 21 balls from youngster Tel Donnelly. Gaz Leader with 45 and Richard Binnion with 46 got off to decent starts.

A solid win from CECC!

Also, in further good news, top of the league Oldham CC lost at home! CECC should be joint top now, though behind on run rate!

Why can't we see a ladder of all the teams in our division? When do we see a scorecard of the match just played?

If you go to CLUB, PAVILION and then click on the division number, you can see the league positions. The scorecards are visible now, if you want to have a look, just click on the fixture on the fixture list!

NOTE: The league hasn't quite been updated yet, there must be some time lag

So much has gone on overnight!

All I can say is well done for the win guys. I also think we should accept Stattio's challenge, you only improve by playing against higher placed teams, a win would be great for morale and form.

You're right. Thankfully, the next league game won't be until next Friday, and the friendly with Statto should really only be a sideshow. Hopefully, everyone will get a bit more of a chance to influence things before the next match.

Unfortunately, the loss by Oldham at the top of the table now means we are in with a shout at promotion. Should we hold on to Binnion and aim to be promoted, or sell Binnion and consolidate our position, using the income to invest in youth, the stadium and more net time?
