We beat Stockport pretty convincingly today which means if and when we move up to level 3 we should do okay.

Look who we are playing next match "Oldham CC" .

In real life they play in the Central Lanc's league, they play at the Pollards.

I don't fancy our chances there!

Andy, you have these players on the transfer list:
Maurice Woozley 29/11/2005 18:53:17 £0
Roy Mayo 29/11/2005 19:01:02 £0
Aaron Ricketts 29/11/2005 19:01:42 £0

Should we also consider pruning further by transfering:
Francis Whittington
Matt Stroud
Colin Kent
Arthur Pinnock

I can't see what they can offer us.

Dont get too carried away, Im well adrift at the bottom of my league so beating me is no great achievement.

Statto, what do you put your team's poor form down to?

Yes - a good result! I'm especially pleased with Antoine who performed excellently on his debut to take figures of 8 - 0 - 22 - 2. Also good bowling from Midworth and Macey. Admin, if you click on the 'reporters summary' in the match screen, you should see a comparison unit-by-unit in the abilities of our and Statto's teams. Our top order and spin bowling departments are better than Statto's but our middle and lower order batting is weaker. We probably have quite comparable teams all-in-all.

We also gained £2.3k for our share of the friendly gate receipts. Seems like it would be very worth our while to get a friendly every week - should boost team confidence to win, but also, we gain some cash!

Any way of telling who bowled spin and how many overs of spin were bowled?

In the individual player profiles it says what style of bowling each bowler has. I think we are really lacking in seam bowlers - only Leader and Castle are seamers. I think Midworth, Antoine and Macey are all spinners - but significantly better than our other seam bowling options!

During training updates each week, only half of all the players in Battrick will see their baseline form change.
Does that mean the net session has been wasted? If their baseline form doesn't change they aren't improving, I presume.

BTW, Macey is a seamer and Carter is a spinner so why did we open with Carter against Scotland on a "Hard and Fast" wicket?

A combination of factors, mainly lack of talent in the squad. I have 4 players of any real substance, two of which were youth pulls and the others have been heavily trained. Another factor is the realative strength of the other teams to mine. The 3 new teams had all won divisons in your level, but, because the game is new and the teams are essentially randomly spread, these teams are often better than most teams in the level above. We have 3 such teams, one of which may win the league. My rivals seem to have progressed more than I have, particularly using the transfer market and seem to deal more than I do. This is down to me not having players to sell and so not getting much more money (I have made a stadium expansion which took a years income). I'm now resigned to going down and am more concerned about preparing for next season and getting a balanced side set up.
