Keswick Bees

This will be a top-of-the-table clash with the winner almost certain to finish #1 in our league. To ensure our team fitness is up I suggest we don't give any of our 1st XI players any net sessions before the match. I'd also like to change the orders from Play As Normal to Go For It! This will raise the intensity of the players to give maximum effort. The downside is that fitness will drop again after the match but we can rest the players again after that.

There's certainly some points to consider. I agree that we should play the "Go For It!" against Keswick Bees and we certainly need to put some thought into how to maximise our players' fitness - should anyone be rested for the next match for example?

Hopefully, when we appoint someone to the Head Coach position on the CECC board, they can be in charge of managing players' fitness!

Since Curtis Castle is not getting a bowl in the next match let's leave him out altogether and play Colin Kent to give him some batting experience. Also let's not play anyone as Aggressive because that speeds up the drop in fitness. Play everyone normal. We could change the orders to Take It Easy but that could be risky so let's Play As Normal. When we play Keswick Bees let's change the bowling orders to sets of 5 to give the bowlers as much rest as possible between spells.

Re: the director positions, we really should fill them ASAP. I suggest we PM our individual skills to Andy and Admin so they can appoint whoever they believe is most suited to the positions advertised. I am doing this now.

As for Kent, it is not a good move IMO to give a player "experience" in the most vital game of the season, and I definitely think playing Castle is the better option. Let Castle bat and allow a part-timer to support the bowling. Any thoughts on moving Midworth down the order to rest him after bowling so much? Swap him with Leader at 5 is my recommendation.

Colly, the next match is not against Keswick Bees. That match is the one after the next match. Sorry if I didn't make that clear but I raised this so we can make preparations now for that match which is a vital match. The next match is against a middle-of-the-table team and doesn't need any special preparations to win.

Oh right. Well, I'm not a fan of underestimating the opposition, but if you feel picking Kent would not do that then by all means we should do. It would help Castle's fitness to have a break.

Have the orders been submitted for this game? I notice that Graeme Adu's name appears twice in the team.

Two wickets down in the 1st 10 overs including the dangerous Clarke Etherington. Not a bad start. Is Castle bowling for us today?

107-2 after 19 overs, run rate 5.63. This is a dangerous and fairly fast-scoring partnership that we need to break. Macey isn't bowling very well by the looks.

150 run partnership between Marriott and Moore. The Bees will have plenty of wickets in hand for the final onslaught.
