Interesting idea indeed. If there are enough clubs and divisions most players might even be accomodated in the best division they are suited for. However the case of one country dominating will be replaced by clubs with most money dominating.

I agree Paoli. But financial considerations must be taken into account. To host Bangledesh invariably incurrs a loss to the host nation while an tour to Bangledesh would turn a profit for the Bangledeshis. I think it would be a mistake to strip Bangledesh of test status but limiting them to home series would be sensible in the short term until they improve, which they inevitably will. They should be reasonably competitive on there home decks, and should send their players abroad to get experience in domestic competitions. Everyone has to start somewhere and i feel within 5-10 years, at the minimum, they will at least be able to compete strongly at home

Yes indeed. Cricket Australia ran at a loss last summer with New Zealand and Pakistan touring. You can imagine how bad it would have been had it been Bangledesh instead of one of the above
