| I think Bangladesh have improved imensley, you can see that merely from the way opposition players and fans react to them, they've improved their reputation, and people are now more likely to give them a certain amount of respect. People are starting to take Bangladesh seriously. And they should be, they are no world beaters, it is an established fact, but an improving young side capable of causing in upset or two. In about 5 years times they'll probably be just about as good as Sri Lanka or West Indies are now. And Whatmore will have a big role to play in that, I think he's someone who likes to challenge him self, and that's why he took the job in the first place. I think he's going to stick around for a while, I can sense B'desh improving leaps and bounds, and that will make him stay. |

| I said in five years Rachael - Sri Lanka in five years will probably not include the likes of Vaas, Jayasuriya, Murali, even Atapatu might retire in the next five years...then we're expecting a batting line up surrouded around Jayawerdena and Sangakkara , who has to do the keeping too. And a bowling attack around Malinga (talented but erratic) Fernando , Zoysa and co (injuiry prone, and are they good enough?)Right now Sri Lanka are a pretty good team, five years on, I'm not so sure. | At present, I cannot see any resemblence between Bangladesh and SriLanka ( of past decades). Sri Lanka was a much better team than the current Bangladesh side when Sri Lankans were an associate member back in 1970s. Sri Lanka possessed good batsmen and bowlers who could really hold their own against A teams of test nations. Sri Lankan team never lost their matches with such ease neither in their associate days nor when they started playing in tests. And in ODI, they were vastly superior even in those days. |

Remember Shri Lanka not that long ago, well Bangladesh are the new Shri lanka if you see what I mean. And a good help to their development, would be for people stop saying thay should be kicked out of the Test arena, and a more possitive stance taken.

| No.I don't think this is the reason. I am answering with an example. Think that you are an employee in a company as a General Managaer. The company is new and growing up. They gave you $10,000 per month. Suddenly one Big and established company announced that they have one post empty and it is the post of General Manager. They are searching for one good General Manager who have experiences. And it is sure that the Big company will give you better salary than $10,000 because they have huge number of customers of their products as they are a well known company. I am sure that you will try to advertise yourself for that post. Because if you appointed in the well known company as General Manager, people will know you. They will respect you and encourage you. And atlast you will get better salary (may be doule or triple) from them too. So why you will be in the new company. You must try to join the big and well known company which is already known by people. And this is the thing why Whatmore is interested about Indian Coach post. So he applied the codition for this reason and I am sure about it.
