Kookabura Bats are illegal.

MCC the Cricket Lawmaker said that Kookaburra Bats are illegal as Ricky Ponting is one of the player which use this bat.

Think we need to stress that only the Kahuna range with the back totally covered in a sticker are illegal.

What if one of Pontings close six's had not quite got there with a weaker bat? Could this have changed his confidence levels and he may not have scored the same level of runs as he has?

i don't believe that it is not all the bat ricky ponting could score just as many runs without the graphite strip which may i add doesn't enhance your batting performance

I'm not saying it's because of the bat that Ponting is doing well purely because of the bat, that would be ludicrous. All I'm saying is that some of those close calls for sixes etc. may not have gone his way. That's if there were any.

Ive found when i have used the new kookaburra bats they dont come off as good as the older ones so i dont think that any advantages have come from using these new bats apart from making the bat last longer.

I have to agree i don't even think that the strip makes it look any better just makes an expensive bat last longer and therefore makes more people buy them as they will actually last some time instead of just snapping
