| Ketz, I suggest you contact the Cricket Development Officer in your area: Bobby Denning (Cricket Development Officer – Greater Manchester) Lancashire Cricket Board, County Cricket Ground, Old Trafford, Manchester M16 0PX. Tel: 0161 282 4188 / 4021 Fax: 0161 282 4151 They will be able to send you the relevant information or organize a bowling clinic. There isn't very much good info on the internet. Here are some links worth looking at: Off-spin: http://www.rlca.com.pk/ospin.asp http://www.cricketnext.com/coaching/...offspinner.htm http://www.plgcc.org.uk/coaching/coaching_ospin.html http://compsoc.dur.ac.uk/~ngb/random/offbreak.png http://hobby.rin.ru/eng/articles/html/257.html http://www.henleycol.ac.uk/henleycol...spinaction.htm Doosra: http://www.dangermouse.net/cricket/bowling.html http://www.ntlworld.com/microsites/s...sia/doosra.php http://compsoc.dur.ac.uk/~ngb/random/legbreak.png http://deggles.csoft.net/index.php?month=06&year=2004 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cricket/4394559.stm http://www.cricketfundas.com/baiginterview.html

| I learnt spin bowling from looking at the BBC's Sports Academy pages: Off spin: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cric...ls/4173584.stm Doosra: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cric...ls/4174244.stm (Admittedly this isn't a great page though) Top spinner: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/cric...ls/4174142.stm I'm assuming you're a right-arm bowler, I bowl left arm off-spinners (chinamen) so if you're a left armer I could give you some of my own tips.

| Im a leg spinner and the amount of times i have read a book or watched a video on bowling spin, i have not learnt a thing. The best way is to grab a bag off balls and go down to the nets and just bowl by your self and experiement, Thats how i learnt how to bowl a flipper, wrong-un and many other deliveries that i have made up myself over the years. Pratice makes perfect.

| If you have a stock delivery practice that first. Once you are happy you can consistently land that ball, then start trying other things. As suggested here get down to the nets place a mark on a good-length and try and hit that 6 times out of 6. Once you can do that, then you can start thinking about variations (harsh I know). Try experimenting with the amount of turn you impart on the ball first, or the amount of flight (air) you give the ball. Vary your pace, bowl much slower or much faster (and flatter) You can also vary the type of spin you impart, over-spin (top-spin), or side-spin, this is done by how you release the ball (top-spin means imparting more spin to the top of the ball - this should make the ball skid towards the batter). Vary your approach to the wicket, go wider or tighter, you can also vary where you bowl from, right up to the popping crease or from behind the umpire. For the doorsa, as I understand it, you have to release the ball with the back of your hand facing the bowler, which is very hard to do, easier if you bend your arm, hence the controversy. For the arm ball, use the index finger to "flick" the ball rather than spin it. There are quite a few varieties you can try, but please work on getting a stock ball that you can land and spin before you try too many other variations.
