see the word ''world class' if world class means the best spinner of all time, then pace bowlers liek McGrath, Vaas, Pollock, Akram, Lillee, Walsh, Ambrose would not be concidered as world class bowlers

Field Settings

Hi ketz.

My field for a 50-over match would usually be:

Slip, Leg Slip, , Silly Mid Off, Silly Mid On, Long On, Deep Square Leg, Mid Off, , Mid Wicket and then someone at point.

For 20-over it would be a bit less aggressive; i would probably take out a close fielder and have more on the boundaries.
Hope that helped.

In the 20/20 I saw today, the offie bowled a consistent line outside off-stump. Despite that, the batsman still managed to get across to paddle the ball around the corner. He had protection on the on side with a man at 45, deep backward square, a man on the boundary forward of square leg, a mid wicket, long on, long off, a short third man, not sure about the other positions. There was no protection for the reverse-sweep which easily found the point boundary. When a new batsman came in he brought long on up to the mid on position.
