WAT Cricket Bat?

Ok, I'm disturbingly obsessed with cricket bats, and have to have a new one each year. I love buying them, looking at them, touching them....ahem! Anyway, of our playing members, who uses what bat at the moment?

Also, anyone know any good sites for looking at bats (bat-porn really!). I'm a big fan of Asian bats (SS, SG, Malik, BAS etc) - anyone use those?

I know several teammates use Asian bats and are effectively in love with them. One's even put his best ever season down to his acquistion of one!

Personally I use a Kookaburra, and knowing you're a lower-order slogger can recommend nothing better than a big meaty Kooka. If you happen to edge one, don't worry, the ball'll just end up at the third man boundary if you swing hard enough at it!

A ha! my fruity little Berry, I use a Pakistani bat called a 'Top Banana', which cost me £25 and is fantastic. It's got big yellow stickers in the shape of a banana down the edges, and usually raises a laugh when I go out to bat, which lulls unsuspecting 3rd XI bowlers into a false sense of superiority!

Asian bats are absolute beasts! A lot of meat on them, and a well looked after bat, could take apart most bowling attacks (depending on the quality of the user of course).

Ive been using a kookaburra sword for a couple of seasons now, and its been pretty useful, but its got some cracks in it that i cant ignore anymore, so i suppose i too am on the lookout for a new bat, but im also on the lookout for a new club as well....

I've just found this bat on the web - www.cjicricket.com/New-Super-Limited-Edition-Fatso-20-20-bat it's called a Fatso 20/20 Limited Edition - and it's only available in weights of 3lb to 4lb. It has 1.5" edges for crissake!

What a b*stard!!!!!

Whilst I am not plugging this guys product in any way - I don't half fancy one of these. If only I wasn't a 17 stone weakling!

Jeez! And I thought my bat was big! Wait a minute...

Perfect.

I think I might have to recommend that one to our opening batsman, he seems to play with the leading edge anyway...!

I like using Asian bats, they are usually very meaty and good vfm, meaning i can afford a new one whenever i want one!

I'm not sure about Kookaburra bats I thought they had a tendancy to break in half!

Although the nicest bat Ive used is a "woodworm" one, a teammate bought one (it was £150+ ) and i had a go in the nets, very nice although at that price.......

Oh no!!! I'm weakening again - I'm going to buy another bat that I don't need! It's called a Matrrixxx and it's got a big spiny meaty bit on the back and it's chunky and it's big and I'm excited. I'm going to see if I can drop in a picture of it:-

on the other hand - if I want a caveman club, I might go for this one :-

Wahey! I love buying Asian bats.

No Teatime! Resist the urge... think of the Top Banana!!

Looking at that bottom bat..., does anyone else think someone cut a bit too much off the back and decided that instead of starting again, they'd just market it?!
