CricSim League

Hi everyone, on other sites, such as Planetcricket and BigCricket, there are leagues like this idea. They are based on a cricket simulation program, which can run both ODI/one day matches and test/first class matches.
I am proposing to start a league on here, but for this to happen, it would probably need its own sub-forum, like the Battrick one.
There are many advantages to this, one, you can have fun, and a second is that it does bring in a few more members - like myself with PlanetCricket and BigCricket. It is really enjoyable.
The simulation program is called CrickSim.
I won't need any major help, I can do all of it myself. All I'm doing is asking for you to put this idea through and give it a sub-forum. If it doesn't work on this site, then you can remove the forum. I will advise you about this.

Thanks,
w3lshrugby

Ern, hi, its w3lshrugby here. These are the sorts of threads we may see, but as the nature of this forum is different, they will not be exactly the same, for obvious reasons.
I would love to know if you're taking to the idea or not.
Thanks very much,
w3lshrugby

Hi w3lshrugby,
Thank's for your reply.I am not the owner of this site, but I have an obvious interest in what type of threads would be posted on WAT.
I don't know enough yet to form an opinion, but I do thank you for answering my question, and showing an interest in our forum, I will make our admin aware of your thread.

Hi w3lshrugby, is this game different to Battrick? Battrick is a cricket manager game where you can manage a team on your own or with a group so each person has a different task like managing the team's training, buying and selling players, managing the club's finances, submitting the match orders. The Battrick forum is still quite young and I want to get that established before taking on other games unless they are significantly different like Stick Cricket.

Are you already involved in this on Big Cricket or Planet Cricket? Who runs the simulation and can I see examples of it? Basically, I need more details to evaluate the whole idea. If I like it then I'll create a subforum once Battrick is a little more established.

Hi Admin, this is quite a bit different from Battrick. You don't do things like buy and sell players. But this could be incorparated for fun.
I have put a few images on a word document to show what the simulation looks like.
If you go to http://www.planetcricket.net/forums/...play.php?f=109 then you can look around at some of the threads to learn more about this idea. From there, you can find out what it is about, how it works, and you can even get the CricSim software from one of the threads (can't remember which one - think its the new version can be used for season...).
Ways In Which It Is Different To Battrick:
It is not a managment game, just a simulation game - for fun. The only thing you do is select the team for each match versus the other made up teams.
On PlanetCricket, I am involved in their CricSim League, playing as w3lshrugby for the ICC Supersoakers. rickyp runs the whole thing on PlanetCricket, and the link above will tell you much more than I can possibly say.
By the way, if you like the idea, before you set up a sub-forum, can I start getting people to volunteer for each of the teams.
Thanks,
w3lshrugby
