What is CricSim?

CricSim is actually a shorter term for a DOS-based cricket simulation written in Q basic by Syedur Rahman. The application called The Cricket Simulator v 5.3 is Freeware and can be downloaded in a zip file here if you wish to run it yourself. The zip file contains four executable files (.exe).
1. Testcric.exe enables you to play a Test match with predefined teams or a team of your own creation.
2. 1daycric.exe enables you to play a one-day match with predefined teams or a team of your own creation.
3. Transfer.exe allows you to transfer a player from one team to another while retaining his career stats.
4. Checker.exe shows the all round relative strengths of each player using a points systems based on a formula involving the batting and bowling averages of a player.

Other files:
5. Eng.stc is the file containing the England Test squad of 18 players.
6. Eng.src is the file containing the England one-day squad of 18 players.

If you created your own team you would need to choose a three letter prefix not currently used to identify your team.

7. Comm.txt contains the full commentary of the latest match. If you want to save the commentary then save it under a new file name.
8. Score.txt contains the scorecard of the latest match. If you want to save the scorecard then save it under a new file name.
9. Keys.txt gives a full list of keys and functions.

The software was written in 2001 and updated in 2003 with the squads playing in the 2003 World Cup.

Download link

Click this link to download the game. It will have to be unzipped using WinZip or similar program. There is no setup file. Extract the files to the same folder and double-click Testcric.exe or 1daycric.exe to run a sim game.

I just downloaded it from the link I gave you. I had no problems downloading it. Strange that you received an error message. Try downloading it from Cricket Web here: http://www.cricketweb.net/downloadsc...tsimulator.php There is a download link on that page.
