| Please vote for the man of the match in the poll. The contenders are: for New Zealand - Stephen Fleming (130 from 112 balls) and Chuck Palumbo (74 off 68). For Sri Lanka - arsalan660 (112 off 98) and Michael Jayawardene (102 off 78). There are no bowlers featured as no bowler got more than 2 wickets as it was a batters paradise out there today. |

| I voted for Fleming for MOM because his contribution kept New Zealnad in the match wen no one else (except Chuck Palumbo) did. |

| Well, I predicted Sri Lanka to win this match and they didn't let me down. The pitch condition was excellent which guaranteed a high scoring match between two talented sides. Unfortunately, New Zealand's spin demon, Vettori, was unsuited by the flat track and could only manage a couple of wickets. That was never going to be enough against the rampaging Sri Lankan batsmen. Despite a gutsy century from Fleming the rest of the kiwi batsman could offer little resistance. Once Fleming fell, the tail succumbed quickly leaving Chuck Palumbo stranded on 74 not out. Sri Lanka's chase started disasterously with Marvan Atapattu run out on the 2nd ball of the innings. arsalan660 and Mr Kiwi put the innings back on track with a composed partnership of 77 from 80 balls. Mr Kiwi's wicket only made things worse for the Kiwis when Jayawardene and arsalan660 flayed the Kiwi attack in a memorable partnership of 132 from 90 balls. By the time Jayawardene had reached his century the match was all but over. Steven Fleming's century against a strong Sri Lankan bowling unit was deserving of Man of the Match.
