WAT One Day Cup Summary Thread

Hello all, in this thread you can vote for and suggest the players of the tournament and talk about the best WAT member XI of the tournament. Please enjoy.

INTERVIEW WITH COLLY - SOUTH AFRICAN PLAYER

Were you disappointed at being knocked out in the first round?

Of course, I felt we had a great team on paper. We just ran up against some quality opposition, notably Vettori, who cleaned us up a bit.

How well do you think your team can perform in the rest of the season?

I think we have a strong team, with aggressive batters from the likes of Mongoose and Gibbs, and some talented bowlers like John and Nel. We were undone by outstanding bowling in the last game, but I believe we will challenge strongly in the games ahead. Lemming has also shown great form.

Do you think that you are one, going to, and two, good enough to get into the WAT XI to tour some places in the off season?

I think it's too early to say. I would never say that I'm going to be picked, I just have to get on and play. I certainly think I did myself no harm in the first game, and I think I can definetly do better with the bat.

Thanks and Happy New Year.

No worries, happy new year to yourself. Goodnight.
