| Group A Matches NEW ZEALAND v AUSTRALIA @ Auckland: Australia (221/3) bt New Zealand (218) by 7 wickets. New Zealand chose to bat first on an 'excellent' batting pitch at Auckland. However, they failed to turn that toss into a run-fest as they collapsed to a measly score which Australia chased with ease. MAN of THE MATCH: Richie B Love Child WEST INDIES v INDIA @ Sabina Park: India (408/3) bt West Indies (215) by 193 runs. India won the toss and chose to bat on a pretty even pitch but made light work of the West Indian attack going at a runrate of 8.16 scoring a huge amount of 408/3. Right from the offset, the West Indies looked terrible and were bowled out after 40.5 overs for a small total of 215. So thus far, the favourites for each of these matches have won! MAN of THE MATCH: Sachin Tendulkar Please take a look at the scorecards and find out how YOU did! Last edited by w3lshrugby : 10-02-2006 at 10:31 PM. |

| Group B Matches SRI LANKA v SOUTH AFRICA @ Colombo: Sri Lanka (397/5) bt South Africa (228/7) by 169 runs. The runners-up of the WAT One Day Cup (Sri Lanka) smashed the South African attack all over the park after being put in to bat - including a brilliant century from Sanizan. The South Africans never looked like chasing such a massive target, and went into their shell to bat out the 50 overs. Man Of The Match: sanizan. PAKISTAN v ENGLAND @ Lahore: Pakistan (320/7) bt England (319/5) by 3 wickets. The big question was whether England could upset the WAT Cup Champions on their home ground. After being sent in to bat, England, mainly through Pietersen and Andrew Strauss surpassed 300 with ease. The Pakistanis looked depressed as they walked off of the field. They came out and the top order batted exceptionally, and they surpassed the target with a massive 28 balls remaining! Man Of The Match: Younis Khan. Please take a look at the scorecards and find out how YOU did! Last edited by w3lshrugby : 10-02-2006 at 10:30 PM. |

| 43 from 37 balls with a six. Not bad for a part time opener.
