AUSTRALIA v WEST INDIES:

Australia (493 & 90/1) bt West Indies (354 & 225) by 9 wickets.

Australia made a strange decision by deciding to bowl first on an excellent batting pitch. The West Indies did well to post a competitive total of 354. However, ever since the Aussies came out to bat you could see that they were going to score BIG! After then bowling the West Indies out pretty cheaply they chased down the small target with ease.

Man Of The Match: Racheal

V

INDIA v NEW ZEALAND:

India (447 & 57/1) bt New Zealand (283 & 220) by 9 wickets.

As with the last match, the winner of the toss chose to bowl. This once again proved a good decision as they bowled the New Zealanders out for under 300. They then compiled a huge 447. The New Zealanders couldnt cope and were bowled out cheaply - from then on it was easy going for the Indians who chased the small target with ease.

Man Of The Match: Aussie-Yank

Read the scorecards to find out how YOU did!

ENGLAND v SRI LANKA @ Lord's:

Sri Lanka (515 & 350/3d) beat England (343 & 311) by 211 runs.

Ever since the Lankans won the toss and chose to bat, it was obvious they were the better team. Compiling a massive score over 500 within 120 overs! The bowlers toiled for both sides but the better of the two attacks was obviously the Sri Lankan one, bowling the English out for a measly 343 compared to the massive 515. Sri Lanka had to bat again but this time they batted better than the first innings, losing only 3 wickets for 350 runs before declaring; leaving England with an impossible target! The English were never ahead in this match and were bowled out for 311 to give the Sri Lankans a comprehensive victory.

Man Of The Match: Michael Jayawardene

V

SOUTH AFRICA v PAKISTAN @ Cape Town:

South Africa (597/5d) beat Pakistan (282 & 292)

South Africa played brilliantly from the offset and scored an even bigger score than the Sri Lankans did against England. Pakistan never looked like conveying their brilliant ODI form onto the Test scene and collapsed twice below 300 to lose by an innings.

Man Of The Match: Herschelle Gibbs

Check out the scorecards and find out how YOU played.

Aaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!

Mahela Jawardene was superb and if you take his score off their lead it would have been a different game.

Our batting was somewhat average.

Nice win for the Indians, I contributed a fluent 87 in the first innings.
