| Group B Matches V ![]() SOUTH AFRICA v ENGLAND @ Cape Town: England (211/3) beat South Africa (210) by 7 wickets. South Africa's decision to bat first seemed like a good one at the time. However, the English bowling attack quickly turned this thought around after limiting the Saffers to a relitavely small total. The question was whether England could chase this down? The answer was yes, and they did it with ease - in under 28 overs! Man Of The Match: Ashley Giles V ![]() SRI LANKA v PAKISTAN @ Colombo: Pakistan (343/5) beat Sri Lanka (340/9) by 5 wickets. On a poor pitch at Colombo, the two one-day titans clashed. And what a high-scoring match it was! After the Lankans reached the huge total of 340 - the general opinion was that the Sri Lankans were going to take this one comfortably. How wrong everybody was! The Pakistani's took the challenge to the Lankans and made it home with 7 balls to spare! Man Of The Match: greg Check out the scorecards to find out how YOU did! |
