With the Pakistani's already through, how will the rest of the teams fare this week?

Group A Matches

V

AUSTRALIA v NEW ZEALAND @ MCG:

Australia (272/8) beat New Zealand (268) by 2 wickets.

A close match which went right down to the wire in the end. A great set of bowling by the Australians looked to have killed off the New Zealand hopes until the New Zealand bowlers toppled the Australians to leave them in difficulty in trying to reach the target. The Australian win puts them through to the semi finals a week early.

Man Of The Match: Justin Langer

V

INDIA v WEST INDIES @ Calcutta:

West Indies (303/5) beat India (302/9) by 5 wickets.

After the Indians had posted such a massive target, everybody was sure they would win - apart from the West Indian team, who, through their middle order scoring half centuries, toppled the huge Indian score to make the Indians worry about getting into the semi finals.

Man Of The Match: Shivnarine Chanderpaul

Group B Matches

V

ENGLAND v PAKISTAN @ Lord's:

Pakistan (309/3) beat England (308/9) by 7 wickets.

Pakistan have kept their excellent winning streak going after crushing England at Lord's. England batted first with 4 players passing 50 for them and uham taking 3-74 as they reached a very respectable score of 308/9 off of their 50 overs. However, once again, the superb Pakistani's prevailed and overhauled the target with 25 balls remaining! This was mainly due to a brilliant knock of 135 off 133 from greg - Pakistan's star batsman. The big question now is, can Pakistan win all 6 group games?

Man Of The Match: greg

V

SOUTH AFRICA v SRI LANKA @ Cape Town:

Sri Lanka (216/2) beat South Africa (214) by 8 wickets.

Sri Lanka comfortably won this bottom of the group clash to go level on points with England going into the final group matches. An all round great bowling performance from the Lankans left South Africa reeling with a tiny score to defend. Sri Lanka chased it down with ease featuring an ecstatic 99 off 95 from Mr Kiwi, who was the man of the match. South Africa are not yet out of the competition but are the least likely to go through.

Man Of The Match: Mr Kiwi
