Never mind Rolf, I reckon you'll come good in the ODIs and the tougher opposition to come. You've just got the yips, but like Harmy you'll get into rhythm soon.

v Bangladesh - 1st ODI

Sorry guys, here is the ODI series in full.

FIRST ODI
At Chittagong

Well, after an enjoyable 25-Over match, the real work got underway in Chittagong - could Bangladesh pull a victory out of the bag? Or could World A Team start the rollercoaster again? We soon found out.

WORLD A TEAM WON THE TOSS AND ELECTED TO BAT FIRST

World A Team Innings
216 ao (49.3ovs)

A mixed bag, a bit of a pathetic score to be honest, one which can easily be chased. The batting was good allround, although there were some mixed performances, the bowlers bowled well. Although they bowled alot of people, it paid off with the amount of wickets.

Bangladesh Innings - requiring 217 to win
218/2 (49.1ovs)

A very solid performance by the Tigers batsmen, as shown by the loss of only two wickets. Solid parnetships and some poor bowling brought them this deserved victory. Congratulations Bangladesh!

The big question - could World A Team come back from the defeat?

WORLD A TEAM WON THE TOSS AND ELECTED TO BOWL FIRST

Was the decision to bowl a good one, we'd soon find out! Could the bowlers perform better than they did in Chittagong?

Bangladesh Innings
231/5 (50ovs)

A solid performance by both sides - a large enough target to defend from Bangladesh, but an easily chasable target for World A Team. Consistent batting and bowling kept this swaying one way and another. Could World A Team chase this down?
Two solid partnerships helped Bangladesh, and some half-decent bowling from the spinners helped World A Team into a good position.

World A Team did it! They batted phemonamly to reach the target as quickly as they did. Once again, a couple of really good partnerships helped them on their way. Star player of the innings was none other than Test match favourite, Quagmire. Could they continue this good work in the 3rd ODI?

After the brilliance of the 2nd ODI, could World A Team come from behind and claim this series?

WORLD A TEAM WON THE TOSS AND ELECTED TO BOWL FIRST

Once again, the team elected to bowl, could the bowlers perform an even better job second time round?

Bangladesh Innings
265/4 (50ovs)

Alas, they couldn't. And they have put some severe pressure on the batsmen to score the runs - a difficult target on a difficult pitch. The quick loss of wickets in the middle provided some hope for World A Team, but they couldn't take the opportunity. A brilliant century provided the Bangladesh backbone.

Yes, we came ever so close to a superb victory - but we were just too slow, another couple of boundaries, and we would have reached the target, but it was not to be our day as we lose the match and the series to Bangladesh. Even a century from Quagmire, the supreme batsmen and captain of the one-day team, could not prevent defeat. Sad faces all around as we leave for the West Indies.

BAN 2 - 1 WAT

Tour Round-Up

Unfortunately, we could not hold on for a series victory - but we should be very proud of all our hard work in Bangladesh - a tougher test now faces us in the form of the West Indies - but we should be able to push them all the way, and ultimately win something. Our One-Day team will get some extra training and will be improved for the West Indies series, otherwise we could, potentially, be hammered.

Well done guys, give yourselves a pat on the back!

Well, after the Tests I'd have thought the one dayers would be a doddle! Guess I underestimated the Bangladeshis...

Memo to self: must improve batting!

I wouldn't say that your batting is bad, it's just that you've only played one innings of a test match so far.

I am back in form. Yes, all that hard work is paying off. Maybe me and quagmire should open the batting hit some boundries get the team off to a good start. Just a suggestion for the next match against WINDES big tour I think we need to practice more we can perform WAY better. Lets show them that the lost to Bangladesh was a fluke. See ya all ready to BEAT WINDES!!!!
