1st Test cont...

West Indies 2nd Innings
329 all out

A much stronger bowling performance from the West Indies second time round, as you'd expect - but our fast bowlers once again pegged them back from a really big score. The pace bowlers (between them) picked up nine of the wickets, and went economically. Once again, getting Brian Lara out for a single figure score was crucial! Well done guys, now lets try and bat this out and win!

Excellent work guys, and congrats Rhys on your maiden century!

Two half centuries for me, not bad after just 1 against Bangladesh... my average is up to 55 now! Now can I maintain it...

Thanks for your continued support adamberry and to the rest of you regulars, as you may have noticed - this place has become more active over recent days, and I am very pleased at that fact.

Thanks, and may the good run continue

WAT players in Late Night Drinking Scandal
by Reter Poebuck

Allegations are flying around the Leeward Islands that certain players from the WAT tour party have been indulging in late night drinking and partying sessions on billionnaire playboy Richard Branson's private island. Amongst such glitterati as Paris Hilton, Zippy from Rainbow and Brian Cant, self-appointed WAT party-boy Adam Berry was photographed surreptitiously on mobile phone by a jealous Daryl Tuffey. Rumour has it that Rolf Merchant was seen covering his feet in talcum powder after a late night skinny dip in the sea with former Hi-De-Hi cast member, Sue Pollard.

In this correspondant's opinion, such displays of debauchery have no place in cricket.

Well I'm now Saj Mahmood as well. Does amazing economy (the best overall) in our one-day series count for nothing?!

I'll win my selection on merit, back on the plane home to Yorkshire to take some wickets on some graveyard headingley pitches and get my recognition back on track.

And some runs as well wouldn't go amiss. Given my amazing all round abilities.

Glad I was tucked up in preparing for my match whilst the merry drinking took place.

Shame I didn't get to meat Paris, I hear she's a right laugh.

Only 3 wickets in the entire game. This is a dissappointing performance brought up a rumour that the abysmal performance could lead to his expulsion from the test side. Only time will tell.

Yes, I think Rolf and Adam will have 70% of their next match fee's docked after these troublesome events, many thanks to the reporters for bringing this up. Although I must admit I was there aswell :P!

You should have been back at the hotel playing tiddlywinks with me, Quagmire, Greg and Karthik, you nocturnal types are too troublesome for your own good!

What on earth was Daryl Tuffey doing in the Leeward Islands?!?

The Daily Post
Berry "Denies Knowledge Of Party"

Adam Berry, the WAT middle-order batsman, has denied any knowledge of any partying whilst on tour. In an interview with The Daily Post, he claimed to have been "in bed by nine every night", and that any photographic evidence must have been fabricated by the paperazzi.

He also objected to the prospect of having his match fee docked, as he claims he's already spent it.

He did, however, admit that he might be frequenting a few bars on non-match days/nights in future. "You only live once", he told us.
