Just like to pick up on this point Richie, as I was listening to Mark Nicholas on Talk Sport and he commented on how Read was more of an improviser. Interesting point I thought. Personally I think he can contribute some useful runs late in the innings and he is certainly capable of saving a few with his excellent govesmanship. |

| Seems to me that a lot of the best specialist keepers tend to have unorthodox batting approachs, wonder if it's something to do with the excentricity involved in being a good keeper, perhaps we'll soon see Read out on the boundary rope with his water colours |
