VTR, while I don't condone name-calling I can understand why things get to that point. I won't let that happen if you report this kind of behaviour. You can send me or Rachael a Private Message by clicking our username to get a link to the PM area. Or report the post by clicking this symbol above the offending post:

I notice there are quite a few folk viewing this thread right now (look at "who's online").

If you really want to chat away on this matter (or any other) check out the "chat room": I was in it with Michael Dengler during the last ODI and it seemed to work well enough.

Not sure what it's like with a crowd in it.. but should work.

Good idea, Rachael. I've already had a long session in there today so I'll pass this time. For everyone's interest I just received this email from the BBCi mods:

Dear Contributor,

Thank you for posting a message to a BBCi message board.

We very much appreciate your interest, but are sorry to tell you that your message has been removed.

This is because we've removed the post you were responding to, and we've consequently had to remove your message too, as unfortunately it makes little sense without its previous context.

Again, thank you for your time and interest.

hi guys, i've jumped on the bandwagon as well. the moderators on the bbc boards are a load of rubbish, so i'm hoping for some good natured discussion on here which won't be deleted, and am hoping to avoid provocative and offensive comments which are somewhat obscurely allowed to remain.

Welcome, Tom. The forum software that the BBC use has a few limitations. Unfortunately, any post linked to a previous post gets deleted when the previous post is deleted. The vBulletin software used by this forum allows individual posts to be deleted without disturbing the rest of the thread. I can even delete the first post and leave the rest of the thread if I split the rest of the thread away first. When that happens the 2nd post becomes the new thread starter and the first post is deleted.
