Many people weren't really keen on playing Hoggard in the Windies because they said he was more suited to English conditions but he has done a job for ENG today. Just got Chanderpaul, OUT: ball nipped back and Chanderpaul, playing with an angled bat - got an inside edge onto the stumps.

Talksport are laying into both the plan and execution right now: feeding Smith's strength and doing it badly.

Too many fielders in defensive positions now... and we've missed a chance because there wasn't a 3rd slip.

I'm listening to the same feed. Disappointing to miss a wicket but our bowlers are still threatening which we haven't seen for awhile so the signs are good. Harmison will come good, I'm sure. Current partnership is over 5 an over - 4 fours hit. Just heard Jones is back into the attack bowling in tandem with Harmison. When will Giles get a bowl?

Don and Rachael, what are your thoughts about today's play? Interesting to see WIs pushing the run-rate. Do you think that was the right tactic? If ENG had batted first I would have been hoping to bat for at least 5 sessions. ENG should have good batting conditions on day 2.
