Grrrrr. Another one down. What is this, a schoolboy two day game?

u are being very sarcastic..

Mike - I think Lara was fully expecting to be batting for at least 4-5 sessions and was reasonably confident that he could post a big enough total to really settle his bowlers. With such a low total the WI bowlers are going to have no leeway. If Vaughn gets going in the morning this test could be all over in 3 days.

West Indies will be reasonably happy with their performance given that ENG bat last. I think they have a competitive total so day 2 will be very interesting.

Don - will we see the full 90 overs bowled or are we going to run out of light?
| |||
I dunnO....i'M ENJOYING BEST BAT too much
| |||
Mike - I don't think the Wi wil complain about their total.. but {a} they wouldn't have expected to be 8 down with 10 overs to go... and {b} they would have hoped at least 1 top order bat would still be at the crease and batting with the tail. If Lara and Best or Chanderpaul and Sandford had been batting at the close I'd have said it was an OK day for the Wi... but Collymore and Best facing the new ball with virtually no-one to come is pretty poor.

This batting sounds quite fun: more like baseball by the sound of it. What's the highest score these guys have got in domestic cricket?

Best out to a ball going down the leg side.
