Super effort by the england bowlers, ecxcept harmo (can the real harmison please stand up). nice to see we have options. Would have ben better if Kallis hadnt spooned a catch to a snoozy butcher in the covers when on 28 !

Freddie, butch and thorpe guilty of daft shots in englands first. My predictions as follows :

Strauss will score 12, tresco 34, vaughan 11, thorpe to see us home.

OK. I may have been wrong to go that far. But I do get annoyed with the English Attuide to jump on any failure. A few years ago Vaughan was the No 1 batsmen in the world and as soon as he dropped out of that postion many fans/media/commentators started knocking him.

You would never hear Beny questioning McGrath, Gilly or Kaspo if they had a bad game. Why do we as English people revel in it. That really gets me rattled...

Butch out.. bugger

Kallis drop looking very important now. Butcher gives Kallis 33 extra runs and gets out for naught.
Hmm.

Not a good fielder.

Need something from the skipper now. Come on lads.

Or to use the Goatman method: "You useless bastards, I knew we'd lose."

Is it just me who's starting to get a bit worried ? 11-1 is unfortunate, 11-2 is being somewhat careless. No wireless at work and no online commentry that i can find. Poor shots or is the pitch going to pot ?

Just the way he was bowling ********** me off, too much leg side crap and too many short balls. For example, Dippennar was on 99, the field was in, what does Harmison do? Bowls short and wide and gets cut over the slips for 4.

Sure he's not going to pick up tonnes of wickets every game, but he's got to give himself a chance by bowling in the right areas.
